Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book?

No. Tickets are bought without choosing a day: come whenever you like within opening hours. Show the QR code at the gate, printed or on your phone.

From what age do children pay?

Children aged 3 to 12 pay the child ticket. Children under 3 go free.

What time do the lights come on?

At 19:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Is parking included?

Yes. Parking is free, also at night, and there is space for coaches.

Are there discounts?

The online ticket is cheaper than at the gate and has no booking fees. There is a reduced rate for large families, pensioners and unemployed visitors.

Can we bring pets?

Yes, always on a lead. At night they must have their own ticket.

How do I get there by public transport?

Cevesa buses from Madrid (Príncipe Pío) to San Martín de Valdeiglesias and, from the village, by taxi.

How does the family pass work?

The family pass or passes must be printed on paper and the names and surnames of the people who will use it for a whole year must be written in pen. At the gate, the first time you come, they will stamp that printout. It can never be used by anyone other than the people written on the paper.

How much is the Dinolandia ticket?

Official prices when buying online on this website: adult €15, child aged 3 to 12 €13, reduced €14, groups of more than 18 people €13. Children under 3 go free. The ticket includes Dinolandia, El Bosque Encantado and Mineralandia, and parking is free. Prices shown on other websites may be out of date.

How long does the visit last?

Between two and four hours, depending on how slowly you do the route. Usually a couple of hours, but you can stay as long as you like.

Until what time do the dinosaurs work?

Dinolandia is switched off at 18:30: the dinosaurs stop moving and at 19:00 the lighting of El Bosque Encantado comes on.

Does Mineralandia open at the same time as Dinolandia?

Yes. Mineralandia is inside the El Bosque Encantado and Dinolandia complex, so all three open at the same time, with the same hours and the same combined ticket.

Are you open on public holidays?

Yes, we are open on every public holiday from 10:30 to 20:30, just like Sundays. On holidays and long weekends, check the opening hours on the website before you come.

Can we bring food?

We run our own hospitality. You may come in with bottles of water and only with ready-made sandwiches, for personal use, carried in a small backpack or small bag. Fridge boxes and food containers are not allowed. There are picnic tables and benches in both Dinolandia and El Bosque Encantado; those sandwiches may not be eaten at the tables around our kiosk or bar. We truly want you to have a fantastic and happy day, but the rules about your own food will be strictly enforced, for the safety of the park, at the entrance.

Is there a restaurant?

We have two bars: one in El Bosque Encantado, outdoors, and another in Dinolandia with hot and cold air conditioning. There are also drink vending machines.

Do you have a bar?

Yes, two bars: one in El Bosque Encantado, outdoors, and another in Dinolandia with hot and cold air conditioning. They open Saturdays and Sundays in spring and summer; if you come another day, check Opening hours before you come.

Can I take photos?

As many as you like! And we would love you to share them on our Facebook page.

Is there a breastfeeding room?

You can ask for access at reception. There is also a baby-changing area in one of the toilets, next to reception.

Can we come with a baby stroller?

95% of the park can be reached with a stroller. There are steps, but you can avoid them by using the main path.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Because of the terrain (a very steep hill in a protected natural setting) it has not been possible: there are dozens of steps and dirt floors. Only a small 10% of the garden could be visited. We would have loved to do more.

What are the hours of the night entrance?

It opens from dusk until two hours later in summer and 1:30 hours the rest of the year. On Saturdays we close at 21:00 and on Sundays and public holidays at 20:30: the dinosaurs stop moving at 18:30 and at 19:00 the lighting of El Bosque Encantado comes on. Access is not allowed in the 40 minutes before closing. Check the lighting days in Opening hours.

Do I need to bring a torch?

The garden is well lit, but torches are available to spot the fairy houses in the tree trunks better.

Do the dinosaurs scare little children?

It depends on each child: the size and the movements can be impressive. The dinosaurs stay in place, with their feet fixed to the ground and slow movements. You can watch them first from a distance and approach calmly, without pushing the little ones.

Can the dinosaurs be touched or climbed on?

Enjoy them from the paths, without touching their mechanisms or climbing on them. They are moving figures, not climbing frames; please follow the staff's instructions.

Can I hold a birthday party?

Tell us the date, the ages and how many people would come by writing to grupos@bosqueencantado.net or calling 621 27 73 79. The team will confirm the available options and their price before organising it.

Can I leave and come back the same day?

Before leaving, ask at reception how to handle re-entry and keep your ticket. Do not assume the QR code lets you come back in automatically.

Can I pay by card?

You can buy your tickets online on our sales platform. To confirm card payment at the gate or at the bar, check with the team before you come: info@bosqueencantado.net.

Is there shade in summer?

The route runs through Mediterranean forest trees, with shady areas and sunny ones. Bring a cap, sun protection and water, especially on hot days.

What clothing and footwear do you recommend?

Comfortable footwear with good grip for dirt paths, slopes and steps. Dress for the weather and bring a warm layer if you are staying for the lighting.

Is there a souvenir shop?

Ask at reception about the souvenirs available during your visit. To find out whether there is a particular item before you come, write to us at info@bosqueencantado.net.

Can I fly a drone?

Do not fly a drone on your own during the visit. Check any recording of this kind and the necessary permits with the team beforehand, for the safety of visitors and of the surroundings.

Is smoking allowed?

We are in a forest setting: ask the staff about the rules and the authorised areas, if there are any. Do not throw cigarette ends or light fires; looking after the forest is essential.

Do I need another ticket to stay and see the lights?

No. With your combined ticket you can visit Dinolandia, Mineralandia and El Bosque Encantado and stay for the lights, within opening hours. You do not need a second ticket. The dinosaurs switch off at 18:30 and the lights of El Bosque Encantado come on at 19:00; check the lighting days in Opening hours.

Are there lockers or a luggage room?

We have no lockers or luggage service. To enjoy the walk comfortably, we recommend coming light and carrying your belongings with you. Remember that fridge boxes and large food bags are not allowed.

Can I change or return my ticket?

Tickets are bought without choosing a day, so you can use them on another opening day according to their validity conditions. That does not mean they are refundable: for a refund or a problem, check the purchase conditions and write to info@bosqueencantado.net with your proof of purchase.

Is there WiFi and mobile coverage?

We cannot guarantee public WiFi or mobile coverage along the whole route. Save the QR of your tickets and any information you need before you come, so you do not depend on the connection.

Do you offer guided tours?

To organise a visit with a school or group, check the educational experiences and contact grupos@bosqueencantado.net or 621 27 73 79. The team will confirm which activities and support are available for your date.

What is the best time to arrive?

If you want to see the three parks at a leisurely pace, arrive with enough time for a visit of two to four hours. To see the dinosaurs moving, come before 18:30. If you want to stay for the lights, check the lighting and closing times of the day you choose.

What does the ticket include?

The ticket is combined: it includes El Bosque Encantado, Dinolandia and Mineralandia, plus the bonsai and cactus themed areas, across 50,000 m² of nature. You do not need to buy a ticket for each park. Parking is free.
